About Olive Blossom

Olive Blossom Acupuncture is a testament of my journey with you as an acupuncturist since 2010. It was a long road to the opportunity to purchase Kwai Fah Acupuncture in October of 2015. I had done house calls, worked in different clinics, launched three different locations, and had been working in the suburbs of Chicago for a few years before I took a leap of faith and took over an existing practice. That leg of my journey had me hoping that I would have a location that would foster my growth as a practitioner as well as being a place in the neighborhood that people stopped by for information, help and respite. Over the six years that we were in Edgewater all of that came to fruition and more. At the end of 2021 when there was a fatal fire above the clinic I knew it was time to find us a new home.

 Through the last two years, and the fire being the largest pivot point, I knew we as a community had become so much more than I had first envisioned. Shortly after the fire, the name Olive Blossom Acupuncture came to mind and it felt complete in many ways. I wanted to find a way to honor the blessings that Kwai Fah had lent me and make this next incarnation a larger expression of what I believe a healing home feels like. In keeping with the roots of my journey I took the meaning of Kwai Fah, being a member of the sweet olive family, and turned my focus on what you all have shown me on my journey.

Each client that I have worked with has blossomed into new states of well-being in ways that we may or may not have imagined. Sometimes new jobs, homes, children, relationships or perspectives were gathered when a headache or day to day malady brought you through the door. Walking your health journeys with you over the years and sharing your lives ups and downs blossoming is the word that popped into my mind to summarize what I was witnessing daily. The new name and location envelop so much of my gratitude and hopes for all of us that I hope you too feel its buoyancy.
